The area is basically developed as an agriculture resource machine. Thus not much attention was ever paid to installation of industries. Moreover, local resource pattern coupled with very poor entrepreneurship did not encourage any step towards industrialization of this area. However, some cottage industry lies in the town where embroidery work of very delicate nature is being done by females.
