Welcome

Choa Saidan Shah Tehsil is an administrative subdivision (tehsil) of Chakwal District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The tehsil is subdivided into 7 Union Councils. Choa Saiden Shah is a small town and Union Council of Chakwal District in the Punjab Province of Pakistan[1], it is located at 3243'0N 7259'0E with an altitude of 676 metres (2221 feet).[2] Located 35 kilometres south of Chakwal on the Chakwal-Khewra Road, placed in an idyllic bowl shaped valley, surrounded by lush green hills. This attractive town, six kilometres from Katas, is named after the saint Saidan Shah Shirazi and is nestled at the foot of a valley. The legend goes that the area was a desert until the holy man arrived, when he struck the ground with his staff and sweet water sprang up (‘Choa’ means ‘spring’). The saint’s shrine is set back from the main bazaar in a courtyard, and the annual urs is held in April. The town is surrounded by trees and orchards, and is famous for its roses and perfumes.
